Day 2 Takeaway

It’s only the second day into our Luke Challenge and we get to be part of this story. Slow down, don’t read past it or think that it is not about you. It is.

We pick up today in Luke chapter 2 with the biggest news on Earth and in Heaven: Jesus was just born. His birth brought Heaven to Earth and filled the fields with God’s glory so much that shepherds were terrified. God cared so much for these shepherds - and He cares so much for us - that He sent an angel to announce that He is here for everyone. The Passion Translation says of this news that it is “for everyone everywhere!”

The Good News that God came from Heaven to Earth to live as a man is now and has been since His arrival for you.

Your children.

Your parents.

Your friends.

Your enemies.

Your neighbors.

Everyone.

Everywhere.

Let’s remember everyone we see today is part of this story. Whether they know it yet or not, the good news of great joy came for them!
