The Luke Challenge: Day 16

What's the Luke Challenge?

The Luke Challenge is a 24-day journey through the Gospel of Luke to prepare our hearts for Christmas. We invite you to read 1 chapter of Luke with us daily from December 1st to Christmas Eve.

One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. - ‭‭Luke‬ ‭16‬:‭10‬ ‭(ESV)‬‬

Day 16 Takeaway

Everything is bigger in Texas, y’all. May this verse cut us deeply today. Reflect on some of the little things we have neglected or rushed assuming that they don't matter much. Our obsession with self importance and presumed perfection can demolish our appreciation and effort in little things.

Taking advent time this year to sit with every chapter daily helps with perspective. Even Jesus alludes to unbelief despite someone raised from the dead in this chapter today. That biggest event in human history that is getting closer to Him (in the reading) every day-did not interfere with His excellence in the little things, like eating with His friends and telling relatable stories.

I pray we find joy in being faithful with little.
